IB Physics Overview
The IB Physics syllabus covers a vast area as it involves the study of matter and its motion and the relevant areas of force, energy, speed, and distance.
Various concepts including Classical Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Geophyisics, and Digital Technology and Communication are taught to the students such that they gain not merely theoretical knowledge but are able to apply their learning in the real world.
Students of both the IB Physics HL and SL have to attempt 03 papers:
Paper 01 - Multiple Choice Questions (30 for SL and 40 for HL)
Paper 02 - Section A: 01 Data Based question and Short Answer Questions
- Section B: Extended Essay Question (01 for SL and 02 for HL)
Paper 03 - Short Answer Questions (And Extended Essay for HL) on 02 option topics studied.
In addition to the above, the students will have to also have to do some proactical work and will have to document their investigation.
